“Sam Neely is a country person. He first played in rock bands, but heʼs always been a country person. Matter of fact, he was born in Cuero, Texas, just over twenty years ago and has only left the state to record this album. (Now he lives in Corpus Christi.) Sam enjoys solitude. In fact, he wrote most of these songs late-at-night in his garage. The tunes are simple, basic, emotional. Most of them are universal. They tell stories - about gravel roads, gentle people, rodeo kings, lost loves, gypsy moons and blue times. Sam Neely feels them all personally. Heʼd like you to feel them, too.”.
