David is still recovering in a medical facility. He faces a lengthy period of rehabilitation and physical therapy even after his release. All things considered David is in great spirits but the road to recovery will be a long and costly one.

Upon David’s safe return home, his house will have to be remodeled and equipped with wheelchair accessible ramps, widening entryways, bathroom remodel, and much more. The funds raised from this campaign will be used towards his mounting medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, home care treatment, home renovations and more.

How can you help? Every donation will help alleviate the stress of his financial burden so David can focus on the journey he now faces as a motivated, surviving amputee. If you can't afford to give anything please share this message to help spread the word.

Many of you know David and myself from our time with James Taylor, however David is an accomplished singer/songwriter that has recorded, toured, and written songs for Bonnie Raitt, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Dionne Warwick, Boz Scaggs, Todd Rundgren, and numerous other musicians.

Our history. David was the first professional singer songwriter I ever met. We’d sit and sing oldies in ballrooms of hotels we were staying in. That was 1970 when we joined the Mercury tour of the Broadway Musical “HAIR”! So yes we sang “What a Piece of Work is Man”, David played Margaret Mead, and we lived and worked with Luther Vandross in NYC after the tour ended and became the singers in demand. Singing with Cissy Houston, Pattie Austin, Valerie Simpson, and all the other divas of the 70’s and 80’s.

Please join me in helping David through these times and giving him all the love and support we can. Thank you for acknowledging this friendship 51 years and counting!

Love and Light,

Arnold

Leo Rossihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05487404139228599078noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5180841562997554069.post-3649495574535638112021-01-15T22:19:00.001+01:002021-01-15T22:19:13.362+01:00Craig Mirijanian

Craig Mirijanian - A Perfect Fit

Warner Bros. Bass Routes, although put together with Lee's blessing, is ultimately a one-man thing handled solely by yours truly and this reflects upon the quality and speed of the output. In other words, be patient.

And now on with the good. Lee has finally announced (on October 21) the availability for order of his new book entitled “Everybody Loves Me”. The coffee table tome is a 6,000-photo project that Lee had been talking a lot about during the years. Its final incarnation consists of over six-thousand unique portraits, taken by Lee himself, of celebrities and fans in his signature pose of flipping the bird.

Knowing that Lee’s iconic bass lines have graced over 26,000 albums and that he has toured and recorded with artists like James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Toto, and many more will give you a hint of some of the talent involved in the making of this candid and unique set of images.

According to a press release, “Everybody Loves Me” had created a buzz long before the book even came out. “Random people and fans were known to walk up to Sklar giving him the bird before ever saying hello. According to Sklar, noticing the expressions on people’s faces as they held up their middle finger was of artistic interest to him while shooting the photographs.”

“Everybody Loves Me” is available for order directly from Lee's new website for $60 or $80 for a signed copy.
