Stephen Bishop - Sleeping With Girls
Vivid Sound VSCD 2256 (2010) - Japan CD

Side One

1 - Fallin’
2 - Rhythm Of The Rain*
3 - Sleeping With Girls
4 - Leaving The Hall Light On
5 - Separate Lives

Side Two

6 - Mister Wonderful
7 - Something New In My Life - theme from “Micki And Maude”
8 - Someone’s In Love
9 - It Might Be You - theme from “Tootsie”

Notes: 1) This is Stephen Bishop’s unreleased 4th album, originally due for release - according to dates on this issue's packaging - in 1985. 2) No recording date is indicated for the individual tracks, however track 9 is same version as included in the “Tootsie” OST album on Warner Bros. (1982). As for the “Micki + Maude” theme song (track 7) I was not able to check out the OST album: web resources indicate this movie’s theatrical release year as being 1984. 3) It is unclear whether this 2010 CD release is an official issue licensed by Mr. Bishop himself or not, as album is not included in the artist’s discography on his official website at www.stephenbishop.com. 4) Above picture and following credits were taken from the Korea pressing on Big Pink 88 (2010). 5) Although release is on CD, artwork shows side one/two track list breakdown on back of cover. 6) Credits on this Korea release come with a certain amount of typos: following write-up has had this corrected. Also, some tech credits are not listed, and the liner notes mention some ‘insert pictures’ that are not included. 7) Korea release comes with lyrics and credits insert. This might be true also for the Japan release. 8) According to forum discussions on the Stephen Bishop website, Japan release comes with better sound quality. I have had no way to compare the two pressings but the Korea release sounded rather lacking in dynamics right away, even before I became aware of the issue itself.
