2021 is the 50th anniversary of the release of Kate Taylorʼs first record “Sister Kate”.
Kateʼs friend Peter Asher, renowned producer and musical artist, was her first manager and producer in 1970-ʼ71. Now, on the anniversary of their first collaboration 51 years ago, they are making a new album together with several of the original players from “Sister Kate” like Danny Kortchmar, Lee Sklar and Russ Kunkel, as well as other favorite players of theirs: Albert Lee, Waddy Wachtel, Jeff Alan Ross, Scarlet Rivera, Kateʼs daughters and The Ukeladies. The album, “Why Wait”, will include original tunes of Kateʼs plus old and new favorites.
