"Everybody Loves Me" Says Lee Sklar And Judging From His Latest Coffee Table Book We Have No Reason To Doubt It

First of all a word of apology for the snail paced rate at which the website is being updated of late. Bass Routes, although put together with Lee's blessing, is ultimately a one-man thing handled solely by yours truly and this reflects upon the quality and speed of the output. In other words, be patient.

And now on with the good. Lee has finally announced (on October 21) the availability for order of his new book entitled “Everybody Loves Me”. The coffee table tome is a 6,000-photo project that Lee had been talking a lot about during the years. Its final incarnation consists of over six-thousand unique portraits, taken by Lee himself, of celebrities and fans in his signature pose of flipping the bird.

Knowing that Lee’s iconic bass lines have graced over 26,000 albums and that he has toured and recorded with artists like James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Phil Collins, Toto, and many more will give you a hint of some of the talent involved in the making of this candid and unique set of images.

According to a press release, “Everybody Loves Me” had created a buzz long before the book even came out. “Random people and fans were known to walk up to Sklar giving him the bird before ever saying hello. According to Sklar, noticing the expressions on people’s faces as they held up their middle finger was of artistic interest to him while shooting the photographs.”

“Everybody Loves Me” is available for order directly from Lee's new website for $60 or $80 for a signed copy. Look sharp.
